Paul Toal @ ALTIQUIN is a natural teacher and student, who loves to impart his knowledge of retriever training to any one who will listen. Having trained dogs to work in the field for over 30 years, his knowledge is immense. Paul is also a natural scholar who is extremely fluid in his training methodologies. He studies many trainers, reads ferociously and is always willing to apply his knowledge to his own dogs and to the workshops he conducts.
Paul sees training dogs as an art form. He knows that training successfully any dog, with any temperament, with any degree of bid-ability, with any quirks is the sign of a quality dog trainer.
He would go further to state that training any group of participants to train their own dogs, that each individual Group has their own needs.
A successful workshop must be inclusive and embrace and take into consideration ALL the needs of both the handlers-in-attendance and their dogs. Paul is highly skilled and experienced at achieving this end goal very successfully.
Paul is more than happy to conduct workshops with any group of participants, whatever their level of experience, and over any time frame that suits the group members. 3 Possible Options:
The type of sessions really is down to the requirements of the organising committee or its participants.
Paul is extremely flexible, and he wants to cater for as many people as he possibly can.
Paul generally conducts his workshops over weekends, for the simple reason being THAT is the time participants are not working. However, that does not have to be the case. Workshops could occur during the week also.
The cost will never be an issue. It is more important that Paul works and inspires people in Retriever training. That said, he charges up to €500 per day (plus expenses). However, Paul has reduced that cost to reflect the country, its cost of living, etc. The cost will never be a problem. You tell Paul what you can afford, and we will take it from there.
To avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend that YOU coordinate and book Paul at least 6-months in advance, prior to your group event to reserve his time.
